Mission StatementProverbs 15:2 says that the wise man makes knowledge acceptable. My three-fold mission in creating this site is:
1. To write books and articles to communicate God’s truth, challenging the reader to search the scripture for him or herself.
2. To help spark a collaborative community of believers that crosses denominational lines, providing access to Christian resources focused on explaining God’s word. 3. To train up warriors for Christ who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, will confront evil in the world based on the model established through Christ’s ministry on earth.

Many people have read The Purpose Driven Life. Although I have not read the book, I know that the author, Rick Warren, recommends writing out the purpose that God has revealed to them for their lives. In March of 2003, I sat down to put down in writing the purpose I believe God has called me to. I hope it gives you some ideas for the purpose god has designed for your life, and helps you better understand the purpose of my website. 1. The purpose of Jesus coming to earth: Defeat the Works of the Devil (1 John 3:8) 2. The purpose of Believers: To Do Good Works prepared beforehand. (Eph. 2:10) 3. How Do I Draw Strength: Through Him who strengthens me. (Phil 4:13) 4. How does God provide strength: Through the Body of Christ (body of believers - II Cor. 11:8-9) 5. What is the state of this present age? Spiritual warfare (Eph. 6:12) 6. What is my only weapon: The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Eph. 6:17) 7. What is my model as a Warrior for Christ: To be like the Sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do (I. Chronicles, 12:32) 8. What is God training me to do? He trains may hands for war, so that my arms may bend a bow of bronze. (Ps. 18:34) 9. How do I bend the Bow of Bronze? Not with strength of arms, but with God’s Agape love. (I Cor. 13) 10. What is my specific bow – my specific purpose? To Make knowledge of God acceptable, and train warriors for Christ. (Prov. 15:2, John 8:31-32 and Eph. 4:14-16) |
